Gimp 2.8 has arrived

Installation for Ubuntu 12.04 (tip from here):
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:otto-kesselgulasch/gimp sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install gimp

It’s a good idea to also install these packages:
$ sudo apt-get install gimp-data $ sudo apt-get install gimp-plugin-registry
gimp-plugin-registry
includes — among others — the “heal selection” plugin…
