Flash videos are blue

Problem
Since a few days ago, Flash videos became blue on Ubuntu.

Solution
Create the folder “/etc/adobe” and add the following lines to “/etc/adobe/mms.cfg”:

EnableLinuxHWVideoDecode=1
OverrideGPUValidation=true

This tip is from here.

Update (20120529)
Warning! According to ebooksoffers, this patch makes Flash unstable. If Flash starts to crash a lot, reverse these changes.

    Thanks! I tried many other fixes described online, such as switching nVidia drivers, package updating, re-installing flash plugin, modifying gstreamer-properties and this is the only one that worked!

    When you apply the “solution” of yours flash videos became 80% unstable !!
    After ubuntu 12.04 and with all these blue flash videos (plus my printer is not supported)
    i’m not a linux user anymore, it was too much for me…..

      Hmm, it’s true that Flash became very unstable on my machines but I didn’t suspect it was because of this “patch”. Thanks for the info.
